From my colours scheme I will use my first one that consists of red, black and white because this is the colour scheme most suited to my genre of magazine, which is alternative. It is also the colours that the magazines that I analysed used.

Message from the editor – This week’s main feature is from the best artist on the music scene Maria Alex. She an inspiring artist showing us that your dreams can come true, if you try hard enough. She is a great artist that is chatty, funny and least of all talented. We are always happy to give the newest artist on the music scene a chance to give them an insight to what they do. She answered your questions that you put to her and also facts about how to make it as an artist. What a brilliant singer, she gave us a sneak peak to her new album and one of the songs on it, watch it on our website you’ll be AMAZED. Also turn to pg.4 to read the amazing interview she gave us. Headline – Maria Alex

Standfirst – After the hype over Maria Alex’s brand new album, we get to discuss the highlights of her year and the answers everyone has been waiting for.

Article –She was first spotted by one of the biggest names in pop music, Gary Barlow, now she’s signed to his record label and making a name for herself. Here’s the insight every one has been waiting for. She’s only 17 but already a big name in the music business.

Question; so this year has been an amazing year for you, what has been your highlight?

Answer:  To be honest, everything. I haven’t had a day where I could say that’s the best moment so far. Every one always asks what your best moment been since becoming a well known singer and I dont really have an answer because everyone has made everyday special.

Question: Where and when did you first decide you wanted to be big?

Since I was 3 I always had the dream that I was gunna be a singer and my grandma always said to me that I would make it because I would sing to her and my granddad all the time. I secretly think that I got on their nerves because I never shut up.

Question: When did you first start singing in bars and clubs?

I used to sing karaoke on a Friday night in the local pub and then someone I knew asked if I would sing at their bar in Brighton and I was unsure at first but I agreed and then after that I used to sing all the time in different pubs and clubs in Brighton and the surrounding areas. It was one time when I was in a famous club called Shu, in London that Gary Barlow was in the V.I.P area and asked me to sing privately for them.

Question: When you started to write this album did it have any influence on you at all?

Yes it did. Only because when I started writing the lyrics it brought back memories from a short time ago and it made me realise how much I and my life had changed.

Questionnaire results

 As you can see from my research more females answered my questionnaire. This means that my questionnaire have more feminine answers than male answers.

 Mostly 16 year olds answered my questionnaire so my magazine will be aimed more towards 16 year olds. Two of the people that answered were 17 and one was 20.

 From the results over half the people didn’t buy music magazines, only one person answered that they did and four people answered sometimes or not really. From this it shows that my data may not be accurate for making my magazine because they dont read music magazines so wont know what is in them.

 From my results you can see that exactly half the people would pay between £2 and £2.99. This means that I should price my magazine at about £2.49.

 Most people that buy music magazine would buy them monthly so I would aim to issue a music magazine every month instead of weekly because people are less likely to buy them every week.

Most people chose different artists from all different music genre’s so this tells me that doing an alternative magazine should cater for most people’s music taste.

Most people would like to see red and black on the magazine. So i will make sure these are on the front cover but I will also chose another cover that will contrast  the black so it will be a white or pale colour.

From my responses I found out that most people liked Rock or R’n’B but because I had a mixture of results I may decide to do an alternative genre of magazine.

From these responses it shows that more people will want the magazine to informal so I will make the mode of address informal. 

From these it shows me that more people would rather download music so I may include free downloads in my magazine.
